Hello,
I've been watching for over a year when using OBDELEVEN PRO, why are there still no descriptions for bits and bytes, while these are available at vcds.
No discription Byte and bit modules has been installed in various Volkswagen from 2017.
( 3C ) Lane Change Assist Right, strange why Right is still on both mirrors. ( no discription byte bits )

Long coding descriptions are maintained by Users not OBD11,
I had a quick look at the Golf MK7 for 2017 on Control Unit 3C you will notice on Byte 00 Bit 0 - 3 there are three dots ... if you click on that you will see if any users have updated the description (in another language) but nobody has bothered to Translate and Copy them into English.
However you can do this yourself or just use the ... option to see what has been put there in any other language (and obviously this is all dependant on other users).
Hope that helps.

VCDS has more descriptions because ross-tech seems to create the labels themselves. OBDeleven uses the data they get from VAG (That's my guess). That's why you can't compare VCDS and OBDeleven in this case.
For newer cars vag "removed" long coding and moved the options into adaptations. This means long coding is not needed anymore but i don't know when this started.

So When i change the language to German i can see the discriptions??
Ok that vcds creat ther own labels obdeleven does not employ people who can change this for its clients!!!
Selling okay but I think there is also support in the product chain, hire some employe to compare vcds labels and make them automatically available for your own product!!!!!!!
I HAVE CHANGE TO DATABASE TO GERMAN AND NOW CAN I SEE MORE... THANKS

So When i change the language to German i can see the discriptions?? You can do but you dont need to, when you select the Bit or Group of Bits then you (if the users have updated it) will get a screen like this. If there is more than one Language convertion then just select the Deutche drop down and it will show you what other codings are availiable.
The VCDS Lables are now encrypted to stop this very process and further I think you will find this would further be a IP Issue as that data is created and logically owned by Ross Tech.
