I am trying to check my timing and IQ. I have been able to successfully change some other things including coding...But I am having trouble knowing what channel to view since nothing seems to be labeled when I try to view data. The tech dept. FB messaged me and said to view channel "0" under basic engine setting but when I did that it just showed a bunch of lines with numbers and my glow light started flashing and my idle went up and down. Can anyone help me... I'm not going to run out and give ross tech $300 just yet. I bought this thing to use it and I want to see what its capable of. Thanks!
I am new to this whole VAG thing. I recently did a 5 speed swap on my 03 alh wagon and decided to go with obd eleven to change the engine coding to save some money. I know Ross-tech is more in-depth but I am cheap and wanted to see what OBD11 could do. It worked well to change the coding, but now im trying to learn how to read the data blocks. I want to know how timing and IQ is doing. Here are some screen shots of where I am at. Can you Gurus help me know how things are looking. I know my coolant temp is low. the car hadnt been running long.
Thirsty (Germany): @cktoo What do you mean? Android app is still fully functional with the first gen hardware. IOS app is currently not usable because it needs the nextgen hardware
