Hi everyone,
Recently received my Nextgen device with Ultimate pack. Since I'm a new user I'm facing issues using my OBDII device. Hoping that you guys can help by telling what I'm doing incorrect.
What I've done / tried so far: 1. Download OBDeleven app on both iPhone 8+ (OS 13.1.3) and Sony Xperia Z3 tablet (Android 5.1.1) and setup my account which I created earlier this year.
2. Plugged OBDII device into my Audi A4 B7 OBD port and turned on ignition.
3. Add dongle in OBDII app and linked device in bluetooth settings.
4. Trying to connect to vehicle I receive a message "Make sure ignition is on". Pressing "Try again" doesn't help while "Continue" forces me to manually enter my car which makes the device eventually connect to my car. The device's LED flashes white slowly.
6. A first scan runs through 25 or 26 modules. After the scan is complete, only 5 modules have been found. Other modules like "Central Module Comfort System" or "Dash Board" are "not available".
7. Trying to use 1-click apps shows an error message "not supported" for every single app. I cannot even open the dropdown menu to select On/Off.
Hoping that you guys can help me solving the issue.

Not my car but we have seen a few people with similar problems.
My suggestion for android is a) Stop the app and clear the data from the app.
Go to bluetooth and unpair as I was told specifically you do not need to pair the device.
Go to main menu and select device and remove the dongle from the list of supported items
Plug device in, close all doors, turn on ignition only and then hit connect
fingers crossed.

Thanks @testeronline for your support. Unfortunately without succes.
What I’ve done this time: 1. Deleted both car and device in app. 2. Unpaired bluetooth on both iPhone and Sony tablet. 3. Cleared all data from the app via settings of both devices. 4. Deleted OBDII app from both devices. 5. Fresh install of OBDII app on Sony tablet and logged in to my account. 6. Last step as you described “plug device in, close all doors, ......”
I’m facing the same issues as before. Only 5 modules visible and non of the 1-click apps working.

In that case raise it with OBD11 Support via the HELP function in the App and point them at this thread for full details.

Good news: OBDeleven Support is aware of the issue and they are working on a fix on the highest priority. The next application update should fix the issue.

Good news: OBDeleven Support is aware of the issue and they are working on a fix on the highest priority. The next application update should fix the issue. You had way more luck than me. In my case, the support asked me to connect the device to other vehicule and check if same problems are visible. I connected it to my wife's 2018 Ibiza FR, and on her's every APP and modules are read. They have told me that my car don't have the other modules installed... It's very odd, because dispite my car is from 2009 ( MY2010), it has full equipment from factory... Bluetooth module with multifunction steering wheel, Bi-Xenon headlamps, Dual zone Climatronic, Reverse parking assist, confort function on all 4 door windows, rain and light sensors, RNS-E SatNav.... and none of the apps work... "Not supported" is the message that OBDEleven gives.
I'm starting to be dissapointed with the OBDEleven ... not even the brake pad sensor warning light reads on the scan, and I have it on the MFD.
Sorry for the outburst.

@ luisfl, sounds familiar. I've also tried my device on my colleagues 2018 VW Polo (just because of curiousity). Everything seemed to work fine on this car. It even connected automatically. That never happened on my 2005 Audi A4. @ satelite, it didn't got worse but neither did the update solve any of my previous issues. Device still doesn't connect automatically to my car, only finds 4 or 5 control modules and 1-click apps don't work (not supported). Hoping that Voltas is working on a fix. Otherwise I'm considering to return my device as it is pretty useless for me at the moment. Fingers crossed.

Hi all, A couple of weeks ago Voltas were going to ship me a new device as the problem I explained them was in the hardware, they told. Yesterday evening I received the new device. Haven't tried it yet but I will definitely do soon. I will let you know if the new device fix the problem above.

Update: new device definitely works better although, my car still doesn’t connect automatically. Selecting my car from the list also works fine. A full scan using this new device finds 13 units while the old one only found 4 or 5 units. 1-click-apps also works now. I haven’t tried other functionalities like long coding while I don’t really know how to deal with that yet.
For everyone facing the same issues I’d recommend to contact Voltas to find a solution.

Hi, I'd definitely contact Voltas and tell them about your issue. It looks like you also need a new device. FYI, with my new device I'll also see the info from all modules.

I've already spoke to them and they aknowledge that my obd11 PRO had a faulty software and they would send me a new one. I guess that with this lockdown it will be a long time until to receive it.
cheers

I am also experiencing similar issues. I had.a 2019 Jetta and everything was fine, just got a 2020, and most of the apps are not supported. Will be following this thread.

I am having the same issues with a 2017 GTI. Trouble connecting, control units unavailable, and apps show as not supported. Able to connect to our 2019 Atlas with no issue.
Im sure this is a dumb question, for which I apologize. Who is voltas and how do I send them this issue? I have been in communication with support (difficult due to 7hr time difference... ) but so far they are only going through the normal questions... and don't seem to be recognizing the actual issue.

Voltas is the company that owns OBD11. If you want to contact support then you can find the various options here forum.obdeleven.com/thread/1877/contact-app-support-teamYou can also use there facebook page (but I have never seen anybody help other than say contact support) You can contact Voltas IT Via there web and Facebook pages but again they will just point you at support teams.
