Hello,
I'm kind of disappointed at the moment.
Bought a OBDEleven Device from Amazon (directly shipped by VoltasIT) only to find out that it has been used before already! The previous owner put on a password during the inital configuration and therefore I'm now also unable to log in and use OBDEleven. Clicking on "Forgot Password" I can even see a part of the previous users mail address..
What can I do about this? Online Support doesn't seem to be online currently.

Did you buy a used item from amazon, if yes then the passwords should have been cleared before they sent it out to you in my opinion.
Best thing to do is contract support via the help function in the app and explain the above and point them at this post.
They can from memory sort it for you, I would also raise a question to Voltas via amazon so that if you dont get an answer or solution you can then ask for your money back.

Wow - selling a device that's advertised as new and instead delivering a used product is appalling!! I can't believe that the Amazon agent for Voltas would participate in such practices - are you absolutely certain that your dongle is second-hand?
If so, I suggest that you raise a dispute regarding the transaction (if the OBD11 agent for Amazon won't respond - perhaps go through PayPal if you used this payment method).
As for your hypothesis that "Online support doesn't seem to be online currently" - I suspect that the Help Desk is quite busy these days (despite Voltas adding more staff for the next-gen release exercise). As an example of the prevailing latency of Help desk response, I raised a similar request to have the password reset on my next-gen dongle on 19/11/2019 and I only just managed to have the matter resolved a couple of days ago.
Anyhow - hope stuff gets fixed soon for you
Don

Thanks to both of you, for your response.
The device was listed as new. The housing has a few scratches here and there and since it's password locked I'm pretty certain that it is indeed second-hand.
Now I'm not one to nitpick in those regards, I'd rather just have the device working and doing its job.
I've messaged the support via the help function, but I haven't got a reply yet, neither per mail.
Haven't raised a dispute on amazon yet, but that's something I'm certainly going to do, so thanks for that suggestion!

Well if your doing forgot password and it comes up a email address I’d say second hand too, but why buy from amazon? Isn’t it a lot extra because of the returns? But yes I’d be pretty p155ed too

Just one thing re amazon, my daughter bought something and it was not the same as the advert.
She went to raise a case and it says before you do that you must first contact the seller, if they dont answer or help then you can raise the complaint.
Not sure if that is the same for all Amazon purchases but just be warned. Whilst I agree if it works fine you will be happy you have paid for a new item and this is not new so they should either sell it as used or reduce the price (in this case a refund to you) and confirm you still have a full warranty on it.

I just received a device from Amazon sold by the ODBeleven Store. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L75WVFL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1It says that it ships from Amazon, Sold by Voltas IT I assumed this was new and coming from the manufacturer. When I tried to use it for the first time - It asks for the 6 digit password. It seems that the password has already been set. When I clicked the link "FORGOT PASSWORD?" It said that it was sending an e-mail to fr***********@gmail.com. This is not an e-mail address that I know. I sent a note to the seller through Amazon. Hope to hear back soon.

I just received a device order from Voltas but it was shipped by Amazon. But the device has been used before, the box was opened and the device request a pin code. And the reset password is being sent to someone else email adress.
The support team has not answered me yet.
How did you guys solve this?

two choices - send it back to Amazon and tell them its not a new item that you paid for.
Or
Contact support via in app help function or email support@obdeleven.com and tell them what has occured and they should be able to fix it for you.

I got in contact with the support and they reset the device for me. So everything works fine now.
