Hi G7D, it didn’t work. I’ll try and post my current settings as I found them.

Hmm, maybe try looking in 'Access Control' instead of 'Access Control 2' seeing that your car is MY2013?

Hi, do you know if I buy a used sat nav unit to replace my non sat nav unit in the glove box will I have to get around the component protection code? If so can this be done via OBD11?

You will have to deal with the component protection unless you get a 'hacked' unit. No way it can be done with OBD11, vagcom or any similar diagnostic system, your dealer would have to do it for you using odis. There are some people that can crack it for you as well, either remotely or by sending them your unit, but this usually ends up costing about the same as the dealer doing it for you.

Thanks, did you see the screen shots of my access control 2 settings? As I looked in the other one you said but nothing I do changes how my mirrors unfold.

Sorry G7D, but with ODIS, YOU CANNOT CODE A UNIT WITH COMPONENT PROTECTION. It can only be done in an Official VW service and with the FAZIT software. Fazit is just the central database

Try Central Electrics (09), security access 31347, search for Spiegelverstellung in adaptations and then find sub 'Signalisierung_Spiegelanklappung' and set it to 'active'.
