Is there a point to adding equipment codes and equipment in your CAR INFO?

From the software perspective no, from your own (what does my car have fitted from factory) then yes it can be helpful and does provide info that may help you at other times, for example what emission standard is the car (some towns in europe demand a certain level).

Aha ok, yes I meant from software side. Because despite having navigation on my car. The module "navigation" is not shown along with other modules when obd scans my car. Its in the available module list but it doesnt respond when I add it. Though that adding navigation as my equipment would help the app realise that I have navigation on my VC

Bonus question that apparently no one know the answer to: Do you know what "autocode gateway list" feature in settings does? here is the thread link to this question forum.obdeleven.com/thread/6979/autocode-gateway-list-feature

Well I dont know the answer but my best guess is this software will check all the control units (dont know if its from the car or database) and if you have any missing it will add them in.
I tested this as follows.
1/ I removed control unit A9 - when i checked the control unit list A9 Was shown as yellow 2/ I logged back on (I am using the latest beta software so had to mess around to get this bit to work) and I got the Autocode gateway list. 3/ I selected the Yes option.
When i checked my control unit list it was Green again and in the list it was ticked. When i checked myhistory it showed me removing A9 and then it showed A9 Being added back in.
hope that makes sense.

So it adds the missing modules that you either mistakenly removed and or detects any more present. THANK YOU! I wish more people on this forum were competent and helpful like you. P.s- Have my like and KARMA UP!
