I have a Next Gen Pro OBDeleven working with an Android tablet. I am only able to see green circle/number for the engine, ABS, airbags and headlight modules... no other modules are accessible. I have black circle/number for all other modules and get an error message of "Control unit not responding" when I try to select a black circle module.
I'm new to OBDeleven (less than a week) and don't know how to correct this. Perhaps just a user issue on my end with this lame Android device. Shout it out if there is something obvious that people commonly get wrong in the setup process.
I cleared the memory storage for the app - no improvement.
I have solid internet connection.
I see PRO listed next to my name when I look at my profile.
When I scan my car, it only scans the same 4 modules.
I initially set up my OBDeleven with my iPhone but later purchased a new, but very basic Android device (8.0 Android OS) to unlock all the Pro features my iPhone is currently incapable of doing with OBDeleven. Same problem of very limited module access that was experienced when using my iPhone. I have not reconnected the iPhone in the event that multiple devices was perhaps the root of my issue.
Possible the initial iPhone setup is carrying forward problems despite now being in an Android environment?
Correct picture of my car appears in the home screen.
Car is an 08' A4 3.2 manual Quattro
OBDeleven is successful in identifying a known engine fault, so I know it is capable of communicating with my car
I am having the same issue. The initial scan with my iphone scanned about 26 modules and found 1 fault. then on each scan after that it can only communicate with 3 and sometimes 4 modules. the 3 that always come up are 03 - Brake, 16 - Steering Column and 36 - Driver Seat and sometimes Gateway.
This is OBD2 scanner doesn't even show what is causing the Check Engine Light to be on, which I already know is due to O2 sensors because I have a different OBD2 scanner that works for many other vehicle makes and is not made just for the VAG line of vehicles. This new OBDEleven is so buggy and the fact that it says that I don't even have a working ECM/ECU in my car and to make sure my key is turned on is crazy being my key is turned on and running.
Can someone please tell me what I need to do to make this thing work???
I have the Next Gen Pro OBDEleven and a 2004 Audi S4 with 4.2L v8 and manual 6 speed.
vwjap: Yay don 👍🏻 Hopefully no more frustrations this year

chfis: hi DV52, is there a way with a mk7.5 R to change the colour of the needle that is in the tachometer / speedometer in the AID?
Nov 30, 2019 21:26:16 GMT
chfis: Not sure if it matters but my car is an Australia 7.5R

dv52 (Australia): chfis: G'day cobber!! Change just the color of the tacho needle? hmm..... I don't think so - but happy to be told otherwise by more knowledgeable forum colleagues

dv52 (Australia): Ron: good initiative, but isn't 0.16.2 a release software version (not a "beta-test matter)?
Dec 1, 2019 22:36:34 GMT
testeronline: Don, no idea any more, I am in the beta testing group and just been upgraded to 16.2 so I presumed this was still a beta test issue. But I cant confirm as i cant see whats been released to general users.
Dec 1, 2019 23:36:05 GMT
testeronline: Well now i have double checked I got an updated just now on my phone but as you say we were already on 16,2 so very confused about what the upgrade was about other than the language change they quoted in the release.
Dec 1, 2019 23:42:51 GMT
vwjap: There was something on this where release was 16 and beta was 15 a few days back
Dec 2, 2019 15:34:04 GMT
testeronline: Yes similar thing, different versions of the sofware according to which google location you connected to and I was upgraded to a higher number and then later downgraded to a lower 1 (as that was the current beta version). So right now we are all on same 1)

michelm: Hi. The rear wiper of my Golf MK7 2013 Highline doesn't go back to its neutral position after wiping and stops at random positions. Does anybody know which code to use to fix this?
Dec 2, 2019 21:55:09 GMT
dv52 (Australia): michelm: could be lots of reasons for wiper problem - alas. What's the long-code value on the WWS module (it's a subsystem of central electrics module)? Have you made any changes lately (look at your history records)?
Dec 2, 2019 23:29:20 GMT
dv52 (Australia): oops.. forget WWS module question in my previous reply - just realized that the problem is in REAR wiper
