Hi everybody,
i coded this at my Gofl 7:
Lock Acknowlegde with Horn Select Control unit 09 (Central Electrics) Security access Access code 31347 Adaptation (1)feedback signals-Acoustic feedback Value=Yes (2)Lock feedback signals-Acoustic feedback Value=Yes (8)feedback signals-Acoustic feedback global Value=Aktive (7)feedback signals-Acoustic feedback Value=Active (8)feedback signals-Acoustic feedback duration Value=Short(kurz)
but if i lock or unlock the car the horn of the alarm system gives the signal, not the main horn of my car, how can i change this?

^^^^^^ OK, to change the sound device for lock/unlock acknowledgement - set the adaptation channel Acknowledgement signals-Akustische Rueckmeldung Signalhorn in the control module @ address hex09 (Central electrics) to - For car horn = active
- For alarm siren = not active

Good question !!! I believe this to be so - both the "Parent" and the "Child" names for this particular channel didn't change in later BCMs
Thanks for the heads-up

Doesnt work on a Tiguan either To both: well.............. it does work on my mk7 (which doesn't have an alarm siren). Whenever I lock/unlock the car, the horn gives an audible beep (two beeps for unlock).
If you have completed the "in-car procedure" in my instructions HERE - i can add no more to my suggestion - alas. Perhaps someone else can help

Not 100% sure don but when I did this mod for the video the horn mod didn’t work on mine, I wonder if it only works if you don’t have factory alarm

Well here’s the video
And as you may notice I put the horn down as if you haven’t got an alarm as it didn’t work in mine

i have a solution but it changes the whole dwa alarm from the sounder to the horn. My Solution: if you change in the long coding the built in signal for dwa you can change it.

Got it to work on the Tiguan and can do it for lock/ unlock or just one or the other. Also has a line in the MIB that you can tick untick to turn it on or off. Ive got it off as too loud when locking in the garage
