^^^^^justbon: hi. No offense intended, but you appear to be confusing VCDS instructions with the way that OBD11 reports adaptation channels - the two devices do this slightly differently. VCDS (did) put the number in parentheses as the leading character for nearly every adaptation channels. Current releases of VCDS software now replaces these parentheses numbers with what Ross Tech calls "Tags". Anyhow - OBD11 does NOT use parentheses numbers, at all in any adaptation channels. I'm not sure about the MY18 A3 E-tron, but for my MY18 A3 hatch, here's how the tweak is done in OBD11 speak:
- Select Central electrics module @ address hex09 (the number in the circle on the upper RHS of each module)
- Select Security access
- Enter the magic number 31347
- Select Adaptation
- In search box - enter "Außenlicht_Front" (in English "Exterior light_Front") and select Tagfahrlicht nur in Schalterstellung AUTO (in English "Daytime running lights only in switch position AUTO")
- change setting from not active to active
- Press the tick in the green circle

Is there a way to make it so the side marker lights can stay on over 20mph and not have the auto rad lights come on?

what is "auto rad lights"? The upper speed for the cornering lights can be set to a higher value (hex09 module, adaptation, static AFS light-Upper speed threshold) but there is a limit (60km/h - from memory)

Sorry for my typo…. I’d like to be able to use the side marker lights option in the evening rather than the auto headlights coming on. You can choose side marker lights by toggling through headlight options, but once you hit 20mph, auto low beams come on. Can this be overwritten or adjusted to faster speed than the 20mph? Thanks so much for your help.

matty: hmm....... I assume that what you are calling "side marker lights" is what VW calls "Parking Lights" What country are you from?
What are the values on your central electrics module for the adaptation channels below:

I took a good look in central electrics and none of these options were listed there. I did find RLS night sensitivity, but did t seems to be anything? Under the driver assistance section, there seemed to be more in regards to lights, but still did not see any of your listed options.

hmm........ real strange that a MY18 A3 doesn't have those channels.
In early MQB platform cars, the channels in my post above were grouped under the heading After-run for park light - but I would have thought that this would not apply to your more modern car.
Have you created a back-up for the central electrics module? If so, post-up a copy

Dear people, I recently bought an A3 8VFF MY17 and compared to my previous 8P MY11 the OBD11 seems to be a different app!!! I found in this thread the translation of a VCDS style Adaptation that I sounds familiar to me into the German new (for me) programming. none of these options are showing for me for my 2020 E-Tron Sportback. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it's the fact that it's an electric vehicle or what. The fact that I can't control my parking lights though over 20mph is driving me nuts.
