Greetings to all!
I have a golf gti clubsport without cruise control and I bought a new steering wheel with the cruise control buttons. once I mount and connect everything, will work? or do I have to code with vagcom? If so, how should it be done?
Thanks and best regards

Vagcom? You know that’s been renamed VCDS? And that’s a competitor of obdeleven (sorry Don’t know but I think it would need hardwares)

ACC would need a lot more hardware like the front radar (in the bottom grill in the CS), and not sure you could just have CC, also isn’t the CS wheel alcantara?

Hello vwjap That's right, for the ACC, you need to also equip the Front-Assist, which if it's first generation will go on the lower front grille, if it's the latest generation, it will go on the W logo, on the front.
The CS never came in the 7.5 Alsto I think behind the club sport grill is full up with radiators and inter coolers so maybe the radars and stuff wouldn’t fit for ACC, but normal cruise control you should be able to go to VW and they should fit it using part number 5G0054691B, (although that could be for the stalk version)

Simple/Dumb Cruise Control is also protected by Swap in the Gateway...

That’s one reason I gave him the part number for VW to do it

But I doubt vw will retro fit a 7.5 badge into a CS

Yep, I have one in my 2017 dude, but op has a club sport which is a mk7 and the acc sensor was in the bottom grill in there

Hi again, My intention is to mount the new steering wheel with CC buttons, configure and activate the CC, I'm not interested in ACC, I suppose the CC its be the simplest system should not need extra hardware. Now, look at the two photos, the steering wheel that I use now doesn’t bring the CC buttons, I bought the second one with the CC buttons. I hope I don’t need more than a simple code and no more extra pieces (€€€) Thanks Attachments:

Thanks for The help.
And I wonder, could it be that those pieces come from factory? And that its simply to put the right wheel and works?
I dont know if I explain

And another question, if I dont put those CC pieces. The volume, multimedia and menus buttons will work without problems??
Thanks

Perfect, I'll assemble it and see what works and what doesn´t. I suppose the CC will not work, so when I recover economically, I will take it to VW to be solved.
Thank you very much for the help

As you know I don’t know anything and get everything wrong (or so wgolfmk7 says) but your looking at this Now in obdeleven you need to go into engine, long coding, then byte 05 (it’s actually the sixth pair of numbers) Then change bit 5 and 6 to get 20 added to your stock number, (mine has acc with front assist so that’s why 5 and 6 are both checked so they add up to 60 from the vcds label (I’d say maybe just add 20)) as I can’t be bothered to do the math shame there’s no headers in the long coding of some modules,

But I’m sure a software engineer will be along in a minute to tell you what I’ve done wrong
Or don 👍
