v0.9.8.8
- OBDII Engine Check (as additional Control Unit number 33)
I am able to browse the app and view current settings, clicking on an adaption setting to change a value will result in a message “unfortunately OBDeleven has stopped working”. For this particular instance I was in “Leuchte18BLK HLA60” in 09 central electrics on my 2018 Skoda Octavia.
I have tried clearing the cache and reinstalling the app and of course restarting the phone however this doesn’t work.
I’m also find that some adaptions when attempt to be changed say “function not available (31)” for this instance I was in feedback signals - acoustic feedback signal changing from normal to kurtz which I have done before..
Bit of help please! Luke.

Dear dev team,
This is a thread to report the bugs found under 0.9.8.8 stable release made available in the app store.
@moderator, please do not tell me to post in the correct section, ie beta channel, as 0.9.8.8 is a stable release and the moderator from the beta channel is asking to post here.
Car : A8L 2014 Issue : Battery adaptation under module 19 makes application crash. Description: I was trying to code my new battery today to no avail.
Module 19 > adaptations > battery adaptation
I can enter the battery capacity, the manufacturer code but as soon as I click on serial number field, the application is crashing.
Tried to reinstall, to restart my phone, nothing...

As many have asked for this I am starting a thread specifically for those users who are not in the Beta Testing group as both normal and beta are on the same software version

My application is crashing whenever I click on a Leuchte dimmwert value to change it. Otherwise I am able to make changes in all other adaptations for central electrics module. This is on a 2018 vw alltrack (USA).

I haven't used OBDeleven in a few months, but I wanted to make some changes to my car today. After launching the app, it forced me to update. I updated to 0.9.8.8 through the Google Play store. On launch OBDeleven updated the firmware on my dongle.
Going to central electrics, when I tap on a Leutche27 adaptation's dimmwert value, OBDeleven crashes with an "unfortunately OBDeleven has stopped working" dialogue.
Going back into OBDeleven, if I try to make some other change, say to a Leutche27 LichtfunktionAB and try to commit the changes, I get a popup error that says "(7F) function cannot be performed, incorrect diagnostic mode".
I tried again after rebooting my phone as well, same results.

I have opened this up as users who do not have the Beta version it would make sense to pose issues here

7 minutes ago Quote Message Options Hi there, Same as someone else recently noted, I haven't used OBDeleven over the last month, but have tried to use it this week. The App updated to 0.9.8.8 through the Google Play store and then updated the firmware on my dongle. In central electronics , I can't seem to adjust any Dimmwert values without "unfortunately OBDeleven has stopped working". I'm also getting same dialogue when trying to remove error code (1555) relating to updating the infotainment system. I'm using a Hudl2 which is updated and version 0.9.8.8 obdeleven. Car is Seat Leon FR 2015 Sorry for the PM but I can seem to post on actual thread as it locked? (although I'll be honest in that I don't post on forums much so could simply be missing something!!) Cheers. Shaun

Having the same issue, I really hope you can fix it it soon because my OBDeleven is useless right now. I can’t change any adaptation value without the app crashing. As soon as I press on the value to change it, the app closes.

Still no word on this? I’ve been reading through the beta threads and others are having the same issue where just tapping on an adaptation value causes the whole app to crash. Mine does it when I try to change the Soundaktor volume. If the moderators or developers are reading this, I hope you can understand why your users are upset about this. The app worked just fine before the 0.9.8.8 update and now it does not. It’s simple as that. We would all appreciate some information about when you will release an update resolving this issue.

I can confirm the same behaviour on my new updatet obedeleven like 2018git or cupra280.
But thanks for your efforts you're doing with obdeleven and app.

Bit of help please! Luke. I am having the exact same issue! Trying to view an adaptation value in any of the Leuchte channels gives me the same crash message. Clearing cache does not solve the problem. Adaptations are basically useless as of this update. Would be nice if the admins or developers responded with feedback. VCDS with their excellent customer support is looking more and more attractive.

Mods on this site are not OBD11 employees just guys and girls trying to help.
My suggestion is upgrade to the Beta programme as that seems to have fixed this issue.
I have certainly done some testing and made changes with no issues. Happy to try lights and let you have feedback if that help and you can always revert back when you want to (just hit the leave button in play store.
