Same issue, I only get long adaptation option as oppose to just "adaptation"and can only change battery code and (star/stop)from drop down list.
Thus I am unable to change the old battery's 80Ah to 70Ah of the new battery.
If it's possible to change in long adaptation.....what channel do i need to change the Ah on?

its:
Gateway-> long adaptation , channel 4 thatr will bring you to the screen for the new battery Part number (11 chars, if you part nuber has only 10 digitis, they say add a space at the end to make 11), the Maker (3 digits), the serial number (10 digits) That is the wisdom that I had found. However, my new codes would not work. I would inpout the new codes, press & hold the green circled check mark, got "Accepted", but the same old codes would remain. I heard also that your A4 B8 only cares that your serial number has changed so that it knows it has a new battery. I purchased my battery from the dealer with the exact spec's as the original battery (after all, mine lasted 9 years). So I finally just copied the same old codes as before and just changed the last digit in the serial number, in my case from a P to a Q - and that finally worked!

I had the same problem like rwdavis42. I purchased new battery from Audi dealer. I followed the video and the description under the video: . I entered new battery code, hold the button and got the information that code is accepted but value didn't change. My old battery: 8K0915105H VA0 <10_digit_serial_number> My new battery: 000915105DE TU3 <10_digit_serial_number> First part is part number, second part is vendor name and 3rd part is serial number. Part number is used to recognize battery capacity. I googled both part numbers (8K0915105H, 000915105DE) and they have the same specs. Second one is apparently new version that module wouldn't accept, so I just entered old battery part number with the rest from new battery and it worked: 8K0915105H TU3 <10_digit_serial_number_from_new battery> Probably best way is to buy battery with the same specs or you can try to search for battery part number that matches specs of the new battery. I read on the forums that for serial number some people just change last character, some of them just type random number, some of them type the number from the new battery. I'm not sure which way is the best.
