Hey,
I currently use OBDEleven daily on my car, to disable stuff such as ASR that doesn't have a button to do so.
It works great, but most of the time, my internet connection is spotty, specially on remote racing tracks, where I need to disable ASR the most.
I thought it would be great to have an offline mode, where you can access everything for a single car only, so you could predict when you're going to go without internet and download the scanner data beforehand.
The offline files could be permanent for one vehicle, or last a week until you need to connect to the internet again. It could be valid for a vehicle model (say, 2017 Golf), or valid for a vehicle VIN (so you only use for one vehicle only).
Just a suggestion! Thanks

We had that suggestion a few times but OBDeleven is an online app it needs the connection to load all data and stuff. I personally think they won't do an offline mode in the near future. :/

We had that suggestion a few times but OBDeleven is an online app it needs the connection to load all data and stuff. I personally think they won't do an offline mode in the near future. :/ I thought it worked like that, but I half-assedly thought it could download all data required to access OBDEleven services "offline-ly" for THAT CAR. Like Spotify, Google Maps and Netflix does, maybe? E.g. I drive a 2018 VW Up. When I "save" that car for offline use, it could download everything OBDEleven uses for my car, to allow me to access modules and do stuff even with an unavailable or spotty connection. It could work with all 2018 VW Up models, or maybe just with that car, and that car only (restricted by VIN maybe?), given possible differences between car models from the same year, or even licensing. But obviously I have absolutely no idea of OBDEleven's inner workings and necessities, and maybe also possible VW licensing restraints.. so if it's really not feasible, it's not feasible. But oh Lord how I'd love to have this.

I totally agree with you it would be nice to have we'll see how the whole thing develops but i assume there are more important things to add/fix atm.
