I tried changing the headlight features on my 2017 new model seat Ibiza with full LED headlights. I changed the 'highway light' to enabled and 'dynamic AFS light' to enabled. An error message came up on the dash saying "Error:Headlight range control". I tried undoing what I changed and the message still remains. I have tried solving the issue on the app but it does not work. I have tried resets and they are not working. Can anyone help? Photos are attached to try and give some additional info. Thank you!

The error says no basic settings so you should set the basic settings then you're problem should be fixed and you can delete the fault code.

So I tried this from another page in the forum and it worked.. link on the bottom for the original post. Post by dv52 (Australia) on Oct 11, 2019 at 11:14pm ^^^^ Yes, making that change will delete the original "initialization values" in the module that controls lamp-aiming on the headlight fittings!! Normally this fault is fixed in the hex55 module- the procedure for re-initialization of the beam-aiming function requires that you complete 2 x separate procedures in the module like this: Make sure the car is on level ground and that the suspension is settled Procedure 1 From the main OBD11 screen, select the hex55 module Select Basic Settings Select Basic headlamp setting and start the procedureThis is where you would adjust the headlights using their manual adjusting screws as referenced against a suitable aiming target - but in the case of "lost basic setting" error just go to the next step Wait a period of time (suggest 3 seconds)- then stop the procedure Procedure 2 (still in Basic settings) Select Acknowledge basic setting and start the procedureThe reference settings from Procedure 1 above should now be "recorded" in the moduleWait a period of time (suggest 3 seconds)- then stop the procedureBack-out of the module, clear any error codes and exit OBD11 software (don't forget to disconnect the OBD11 dongle) If it doesn't work in the hex55 module -try it on the hex4B module!! It works. I was messing around Multifunction Module and AFS error appears and wouldn't go away despite reverting all the long codding. Run the step to restore basic settings and it solved the problem. Dynamic Light continued to work too.
