Hello, I really hope someone can help me out. I've just bought a 2011 Audi a1 for my wife, great little car. I gave the car a few personal touches using my OBDeleven as I have done on my golf gti and other vehicles, nothing too serious, just using the apps, anyway, I thought everything was going well until I discovered that the wipers no longer work, fault is "no signal to wiper motor drivers side" and also now the headlights don't work on auto setting the fault says "headlight range control defective" (also comes with a warning light on the dash) I have reversed all the changes I made and checked fuses and relays, all ok. Can someone please help?

What has happened? I did enable Rain/Light sensor as it said it was disabled and I think that may have fixed the auto lights but I get an error on the dashboard about a fault with it. It’s just the wiper motor that it can’t communicate with

Not sure if you still have issues but having gone through your history i find the following
First sheet shows your app changes so thats very easy for you to understand and i have put a number against each one so you can see what has been done.
Control unit 42 and 52 you have reverted your changes
Control unit 09 you have changed Byte 05 and 21, if you need to see what bits you changed then use this spreadsheet and enter the hex numbers and it will show you the long coding screen with all the boxes ticked using each hex number.
Hope this helps you.

Ron: Please forgive my impudence, but are you sure about the code-string to Byte-Hex conversion in your spreadsheet for the module @ address hex09 (i.e. BCM)? According to my calculations, the coding for the BCM is as follows: So, - while I agree that there was a change made in Byte 5 (i.e. Bit 1 was set), I don't believe that a change was made to Byte 21. - Have I missed something? If so my apology

Don good day - two things i learnt early on in my working life 1/ Do not assume - To Assume makes an ASS out of UE and ME 2/ Everybody makes mistakes - unless you don't do anything I am very happy you double check this stuff it helps me as well so no need to offer apology. Just double checked and if I have got it correct (in the OP attachment not the screen dump) the code string was
08000A2CB805F1C0205841E80104015443FB290A00EF4922DC00878300C1 - Original BCM
08000A2CB807F1C0205841E80104015443FB290A00214922DC00878300C1 - Final BCM

Dont know but from what i have seen on the forum the developers expect the car settings to be in a certain state, if for any reason they are not (because something has been changed) then the code stops with the not supported error. have you tried doing the coding manually. Start/Stop Activation-Deactivation on FIS Select Control unit 17 (Dashboard) Adaptation Warning light for Start / Stop Value to "off" position (default: on)
You can also find the coding for some of the one click apps you have asked for, would help the dev team if you put the coding on the request.

I am not sure if you can do long coding on the non pro version, I have seen some comments you can but obviously you have to pay with credits to make the changes. Pro version you do not have to.
All coding changes (including the apps) are at your risk but lots of people make changes to there car with no issues.
as an aside are you trying to turn off stop start or turn it on.

OK So if you are trying to turn it off then you have it (that is what I was trying to confirm).
First thing to do is turn you phone off and wait a few minutes, restart and clear you oBD11 App data cache and then try again.
I presume some of the apps are working.
The lock unlock function on my car required you the user to go to the car settings menu and do a factory reset, however certainly on my car the app says clearly that it does not work if you do not have a factory alarm fitted.

hello cupra,
I just tried to activate the "lock sound with horn" through longcoding, as said in the longcoding forum for audi a1 it says = Central electrics-byte 5-activate bit 1. when i follow these steps bit 1 is already activated? i am sure the car didnt have any coding in the past so how is this possible and the horn still not working? maybe the forum is not correct?
thanks
