Sorry not my car but the coding options on the rest of the cars are
Disable Start / Stop System With this modification permanently deactivate the Start / Stop and no longer have to do this every time you boot from the button. 1 - Module 19 - diagnosis interface for data bus. Code (20103) 2 - Adaptation 3 - Select - Limit Initial voltage Start / Stop 4 - Change value of 12 V. Default 7.6 V. Another way: 1 - Module 19 - diagnosis interface for data bus. Code (20103) 2 - Adaptation 3 - Select - EM start stop ambient temperature requirement 4 - Change value by 50. Default -50C.
and finally
There is also under Control Unit 01 Engine,
Under Adaptions
Then there is a field called Activation of start-stop function: currently set to Active can be changed to turn it off.
Dont know if they work on your car but worth a try.

Should be simple but it isn't :-(
Temperature disable - didn't work Voltage disable - didn't work Engine disable - comes up with a nasty error message

indeed sounds like vw/skoda have made some changes, i presume all the adaption channels were there and allowed you to make the changes.
what year is your car
