I don't see the battery regulation app for my 2011 Audi Q7 US Version. So, how could I update the value after battery replacement?

Hi there, there is a video on YouTube explaining this process using obdeleven. It tells you how and where to input your new battery details. Although you basically just have to change the last digit of the previous battery serial number. The car only needs to know that the battery has been changed, it has no real need of knowing which specific battery has been fitted, provided it is exact manufacturers spec.

tjjax I would not be so sure you are correct. Have a read of this thread forum.obdeleven.com/thread/2041/battery-replacement you will see that there are different battery types that need to be coded differently because the coding makes a difference, but also read the last post about DV52 comments as some cars have a battery control module that needs to be coded otherwise it will cause issues later on.
Not saying the coding I have shown is the same on your car but the principle is different battery types need to be coded differently so the car knows how to charge them correctly.

Hello there, an interesting read indeed. You are of course correct. There are inportant factors that require the battery details be input correctly. I was taking for granted that the correct battery for the vehicle would have been purchased, I shal edit my post accordingly. The coding is different on a q7 to that on the link but I would definitely recommend anyone changing their battery away from genuine to give the link you provided a read. Good info

I have followed the video on YouTube is it the a6/a8 one you're referring to? If so when I've gone into subsystem it comes up long coding I press that then click "30" like the video shows but nothing happens?

I'm extremely disappointed with OBDeleven and the Q7. For my A7 I could do everything you could do with VCDS. For the Q7 you can't do a lot of the things especially with Control Unit 19. I've sent emails to the manufacturer and they have stated they do not intend to add the missing features for Long Coding or for Battery Management.

This is ridiculous!! It's things like this that sway people towards VCDS. I think would should get a petition going for this so they can add it on their next update.
