Hey! Could we get some long coding help? I see the vcds guys have it extremely easy. Us obdeleven guys are playing blind. We seem to have no go to list for anything in relation to long coding. How do we find out what we need to type in to do what we want? Just random numbers. I do feel like I've purchased a toy that had a few cool buttons and some matrix coding no one understands. Please help.

I can post screenshots of the VCDS options for the MK5 Golf. It'll take time to do so

Unfortunately, I don't know anyone with a Passat B6 that I can do the screenshots for you.
However, I know someone with a B5, but it will take a while for me to link up with them to see if any of the control modules are the same as yours.

Sure that could be useful, although b5 passat is closer to mk4 golf and jetta I think, I have one of those too so still useful.

The mk5 list would help me tremendously. Please post screen shots when possible.

The mk5 list would help me tremendously. Please post screen shots when possible. Which module would you like to see first? It's a lot of screenshots to be made. You can view this yourself if I send you my log files, and you download VCDS from Ross-Tech's webpage. You would then use LCODE.EXE to open the label file for the module that you are interested in to see the labelled options that you would use in OBDeleven. You wouldn't even need my logs, as you can use your own HISTORY to see your labelled codings for yourself.

Hey Guys, would it be possible to get screenshots of all the BYTES and there BIT options available for 09-Cent. Electronics similar to what VCDS does. OBDEleven Pro is a awesome tool but I'm finding it difficult on some coding I want to do as i don't have access to VCDS & OBDEleven doesn't have descriptions on the BITS that you can change. I have a VW Passat B7 (362 - Built June 2011) it's the European (Rest of world) version. Cheers

I only have access to my MK5 Golf GTI and my friend's Passat B5 with VCDS.
I'll take the screenshots of the MK5 for dsrtdubber later today when I get home to where my VCDS cable is.

mk5 is same with passat b6?I need too a passat b6 lists. ausr36 you got some list? thanks Mattew for your help in this forum I don't know for sure in the B6 is the same as the MK5. I was just looking at the model years on Wikipedia and seeing where the model years are similar, so I'm assuming that the modules (part number) and coding should be relatively the same. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Passat_(B6)It's just a gamble that you will have to take when I post up the screenshots. The only thing you would need to do first is to backup and e-mail your HISTORY or current configuration to yourself just to ensure that you can revert if anything goes wrong. The only things that I know can break (cause an issue): - if you do an output test on your airbag module. Your car can't start ever again until you take it to the dealer to clear the safety created fault code
- You set the top speed limiter on your car to a value that is too low. This can only be decremented, not incremented. Hence the ECU would have to be changed to get back the higher top-speed limiter. This would also require a matching key, key-barrel with transponder cluster-gauge and immobilizer (unless you can get the immobilizer re-programmed to work with the new ECU)
- Tampering with the immobilizer module. This will leave your ignition in a BRICKED state, but you can still use accessories such as the windows, radio, etc.
I'll be going outside to do some work on my car now, so I'll be able to take those screenshots I promised.

I think the best thing for now is to let us write comments next to every bit. That way the programmer can later use it to make it permanent on the program itself Hey! ^^^The problem with that is that you have to "know" beforehand what each bit is for the team to be able to label it.

Hi do you have label files for 2013 Jetta mk6 (row)? I'd have to borrow my friend's car this weekend and take some screenshots. The same layout for the MK6 golf. The issue is if I can actually get access to his car over the weekend as he uses it in another state.

Have found many tweaks. Unfortunately most don't work on my car. Without long coding helper on obdEleven makes it difficult to find stuff that may work

Instead of screenshots, this site might be handy.... www.audi-portal.com/en/diagnostic/ecu.htmlselect the a3 8p which has mostly the same modules mwb are the live data blocks anpassung is adaptation the pages description are not that clear but once you open it you know you got the right or wrong one I would love to be able to to add the text into the live data or coding....but.... no such luck It would be ok if you could add it just on your phone in a folder under obdeleven

so next time do some research before asking a silly question. That's a little too harsh in my opinion
|
|
|
Post by mafketel on May 4, 2017 16:14:18 GMT
If that is to harsh, let the obdeleven team put some labels on things in the app. Or add a manual where you can find this sort of information. And not let the users try to figure this proprietary stuff out and then not even be able to add the labels in the app after they figured out what bit belongs to what setting.
